The gun looks very nice, Carlos! Good to see some non-standard subjects such as artillery pieces and figures being worked on!

Thank you John. I don’t think that I’ve built a tower artillery piece in well over 20 years. And no gun looks right without a crew...

Last nite after dinner, I added the gun shield and the final fiddly bits to the trail legs...
But I waited to let the glue dry overnite to do the seam clean up on the trail leg recoil spades. Which I did today at the midday. I also added the tow cables to the shield. And cleaned up the seams on the rounds that the kit includes.
Gunner Tommy Atkins standing by, and awaiting the rest of his Guardsmen gun crew to help hold Nijmegen bridge from counter attacking Panzers...
Construction is now 98% complete. I have left the cradle mount separate from the carriage, and the wheels, to aide in ease of painting, which it is now all ready to commence on my days off next week.

I just wanted to ask for the area where the photo was taken. The construction of the bridge looked strangely familiar. Nijmwegen, of course. So cool. Photo's taken from the other side, with the fortifications in front.

Torben, the top photo is the Nijmegen railway Bridge, there were also two bridges there, a railway and a road bridge. Both had their northern ends seized by an assault crossing of the Waal by the 504 Parachute Infantry during Market Garden. But the Grenadier Guards only stormed the road bridges southern end that same afternoon.
You can see on this aerial recon photo that they are located fairly close together, with the railroad bridges having multiple arches and the hiway bridge having only a single arch.
