Yes. The gunner could swivel to face forward to operate the radio. He also had a set of flight controls and basic instruments to fly the aircraft if need be.

Quick update: I mixed some grey and blue and put it on. On the models it look a bit darker then expected but the flat coat will lighten it out.

Dang those things are tiny. I dunno if you saw my post over in my Dauntless thread but I posted some info over there for you in regards to paint.

Yes, I saw your post. Thanks for the advice.
The pictures make the paint look a bit darker/greyer then it actually is. I think it is pretty close to that pale blue colour. But you never know until the paint is all dried up.

First layer of dark blue is on and it is not good. It will deftness a second layer. And maybe a bit of an adjustment. Because this looks far to bright.

They are going to need a third layer but I am feeling better already.
