From your description of the kit, it sounds like another adventure in modeling!

It will have challenges, for sure. Not a huge parts count. Waiting for masks.

Need some better brains that I am running on this morning.....I've puzzled over this for several days...makes no sense.

This is all in the first step. You need 6 hands with 12 fingers each.



The turret looks to set in place on the lower tab on the fuselage sides. My guess is it is supposed to be a feature - that the turret will extend and retract. OOOHHH, AHHH....Not for me. I'm going with a fixed install. Thoughts?

The gun in the turret is supposed to not be glued in place, but there is absolutely nothing to secure it. so it will be glued. Oh, two holes and one gun.





And a self-inflicted wound....Blacksheep214 - watch out on the wheels. you have to place the axle inside the wheel halves. I did not see that prior to gluing them up. I spent about an hour "machining" one out of sprue and my drill to be full width of the wheel hub. Actually worked.

Hopefully this can help. Looks like the gun should be in the larger opening.

I’ll most likely will forego the pilot and co pilot figures. No point in putting them in and I hate painting figures. As far as the torrents go... the top one is suppose to rotate. The lower one retracts up and down. I’ll probably keep it in up position. If in down position, I’ll probably end up snapping off the gun barrels.

Assemble cockpit first, Glue windows, assemble top turrent, slip in one half fuselage. Lower gun barrel mount assemble and put tab to fuselage half. Glue cockpit to fuselage half. Then glue other fuselage half to complete fuselage.

Carlos is right. The instruction guide does point out which hole it goes in. The key this kit, go slow, double check (or even triple check) everything in the step before gluing.

Pretty much doing or have done all these things. My point is that there is no structure in the turret to hold the weapon in position, nor is there any structure to keep the upper turret from flopping around.

Man, that is one ugly Lockheed....

Lyle - I think the machine gun in the upper turret is just supposed to be glued to the clear part - it's obviously a highly detailed kit
