Watching and learning from the Seats over here.
This is a great project. Good thing there's no pressure on you.....lol.

I will send you a PM from the other forum. I am too new a member for PMing here.

Nino

P.S. Thanks for the heads-up on your great site here.
P.P.S. I got my old kits out of the attic the day you started your USS Howard Project. Thanks for re-kindling my interest.

Hey Nino, glad to see that you joined our little mad tea party for this project. This is a fun site and all sorts of modelers are welcome.
No pressure at all...

:headslap:

At least these past coup,e days at work has given me lots of time to look over wartime photos for details on this project. Little things are starting to jump out to me.

Mark, I plan on doing just that during my days off this week. Oddly enough, the instructions have the actual build starting at the bridge, where I can do a lot of the not so challenging upgrades that are within my skill set... tomorrow.
Today is Taco Tuesdayand time to unwind from my work week for less than an arm and a leg...

Yes it did... and no hangover yesterday... But lots of errands, so all I really got done on this was to enlarge the bridge section of the plans and do some prep work for what’s coming up there. I can see that is where my first efforts will start.

This will be really cool to watch. I've always wanted to do a WW2 ship.

Thanks guys, I’m glad you’re gonna be watching this as it moves forward.

So today I got some real progress made. The instructions have construction start with the superstructure, so that’s where I began. I thinned out the tops of the open bridge bulkheads and drilled out the bridge side portholes. I also removed the inclined and vertical ladders and some weld seams.

And I began work on the open bridge deck. I added he cut back area with some styrene, and used some brass mesh for the wood lattice on the deck...

that’s all for today...
