Sorry to hear of the foot Kenny. Now if the doc wants you off it for 4 weeks that's a major sprain. Take this from someone who walks over 10 miles a day at work. Mailman. Your ankle will not be right for at least 2 years. Sprained mine badly and was able to walk normally after 3_weeks but ligaments were stretched and took a long time to heal. Ankle will be prone to rolling during this time.

John,

Yes sir, you got that right. Last time I badly sprained my ankle it stayed swollen and tight for a year.

And the being prone to rolling thing, that is what bothers me the most. I’m going to have to stay away from Jiu Jitsu for several more weeks and probably not do any takedowns at all for a very long time. Being a 40 year-old father of two year old twins I really can’t afford to be laid-up with a stupid injury like that.

Sucks because I love Jiu Jitsu, but what can you do? I just accept it and move on. I’ll be back in the gym this week. I’ll be rowing for cardio, doing Yoga for mobility, and I guess upper-body lifts will be fine, and kettlebells for anything else.

Ouch! Heal up and get well soon! I love cooking myself because it helps me decompress from the BS at work. Now that summer is here, I love grilling even more. The missus knows the grill is my domain. Soon, I’ll have to teach my boy learn the fine art of grilling steaks, chicken, pork, etc...

Besides, I have a saying around here... this stomach waits for no woman. :giggles:
I’ll be damn I’m gonna wait for the missus to start cooking when I’m hungry after a hard day at work.

Kenny I just caught up with this. I'm glad you're getting a lot of time to work on this. I'll be praying for a swift and full recovery. At least you did it right when you Chevy-Chased it into being. I've done that sort of thing a lot myself.

Looking forward to seeing more.

Thank you, Duke m’friend, that’s much appreciated! And dig this:

I CAN WALK WITHOUT LIMPING, TOTALY PAIN-FREE AS OF THIS MORNING!

Now, I’m still in the old calabozo, training-wise. My doc said no Leg Day or Running or Jiu Jitsu for 4-6 weeks, but I can bike, row, and bench press, do my kettlebell stuff, and push-ups/pull-ups and Yoga. And since I can walk now, FISHING!

I’m stoked.

Now, as to my ZERO KILLER here, I need to throttle back and contemplate what to do concerning the cockpit (I hate it), so while I figure that out I’m going to start work on the engine this week, between working on the latest Zeke.
