Hmmm... curious about those. If I like what I see, I may get some for a couple 1/48 Vipers I have in my stash.

I'll test them soon. Tamiya has a set of stiffener plates that were a real pain to get to bend around the curves, especially around the nose.

The stiffeners are soft PE.

All I have left to do is find George Preddy's P-51 Mustang kit and the F-16C Falcon Block 30 kit. That Tamiya kit fits the bill....

The decal set suggested the Hasegawa, Academy and Revell F-16 Falcon kits. None appears to be the Block 30 version (Hasegawa did come out with the Blue Nosed Falcon but currently out of production).

If it's 1/48 Viper, go with the Tamiya one. It really does build itself.

Yup. That was my plan to get the 1/48 scale Viper. The Tamiya Adversary Viper kit is the best one I need out there.

Now.... back to your regularly scheduled program...

I started this a week ago but all I really did was attached the two upper fuselage halves together.

I got the CrossDelta Stiffener Plates for this build. Last time on the ill fated Viper, I used the Tamiya stiffener plates and while they looked great, they were of a very hard metal and impossible to bend. These are so much different. First you cut them apart like decals.

Then you take the yellow backing paper off and attach it to the model as they are self adhesive.





You press it down so that it's firmly attached and then pull the clear top cover off and there you go!
