Me too. I've built 2 Hasegawa Razorbacks but not the Tamiya. The Hasegawa ones are nice toopzl66 wrote:I love the look of the Jug as a Razorback!

Re: Your TOP 5 Aircraft Kits:
I have a Hasegawa P-47 Razorback on the shelf. It has some major warpage at the front of the wing joint on the underside. Other than that, it’s a good kit, but it’s ruled out of my top five.

I second this! I really need to get that razor back in my stash!speedgraflex wrote:When you build your Thunderbolt I will definitely follow along with you, Mike!Medicman71 wrote:I have the Tamiya P-47.
My list: (in no particular order)
1/48 AM TBF/M Avenger - just get the Eduard or equivalent masks for it!
1/48 Eduard Bf 109E/F/G - real gems, many choices in schemes.
1/48 Eduard F6F Hellcat - a great kit, great detail, pretty much shake and bake.
1/48 Tamiya J2M3 Raiden - an oldie that still holds it’s own
1/48 Airfix P-40B - great kit for an early war aircraft that finally got the attention it needed!

1/32
Zoukei Mura Ho-229 Horton Interesting aircraft, great fit and detail
Zoukei Mura P-51D/K as a British P-51K Great fit and detail
Tamiya P-51D/K as a F-6D recon. Typical Tamiya fit and finish
Tamiya Mosquito FB Typical Tamiya
Tamiya F-4U1A Typical Tamiya
1/48
Zoukei Mura F-4J Great fit and detail
Tamiya F-14A It's a Tamiya
Tamiya F-16C Typical tamiya
ZM includes a lot of detail that is hidden like the P-51 includes the cooling lines from the radiator to the engine and includes pistons in the engine. The Ho-229 includes very detailed engines including the compressors and extensive external detail. Their kits aren't cheap but they are really well engineered. You can say the same about Tamiya but they don't go so overboard on detail you won't ever see.

I think I build to many old kits and short runs for this list. So I will keep it short.
