I had a feeling
I told that one to my daughter - who loves pirates - she thought it was very funny, so you have at least one fan Lyle!

Sorry for not posting up much on this but to be honest it's been such a laborious build I've not felt much like taking photo's of it up until now.
It's a great kit to be sure, great detail and fantastic engineering, but there is a LOT of work to do to get it to this stage. All the internal plumbing and gear bays to build up. The fit is pretty good bar the nose section, which didn't fit to the rest of the fuselage well and have to be filled and sanded (not easy!)
but this is where it stands now - I've just repainted the seats because I wasn't happy with them.
All the internals before the fuselage went together.
I've been given some Martel missiles for it, which should make a nice change from the norm.
Cheers!

Hey, how much do Pirates pay for corn?
Anyway, that is a very nice looking build. I really like the compact nature of the stuff you have bagged up!
Well done, mate.

Looking good Stuart! And yes, the other side of new tool kits is usually higher parts count and more intricate builds are part of all that nicer detail.

You're right there Carlos, and this one is very intricate - it's not a bad thing by any stretch, it's just a bit of a chore. Thankfully asides form the nose and the intakes, exhaust, the fit is the best I've ever seen from Airfix. Now I've got everything together I'm really enjoying it and I'll certainly be buying the RAF version when it's released later in the year.

Beautiful work Stuart! I was given this same kit for my birthday. It's great to see this under construction so I can see what to watch out for. Thanks for posting the information.
