Silly Putty masking used here.

Humbrol 29 Dark Earth used over the Dark Green

Based off a WWII era color photo that I found, i went with a light gray turret top, in this case Humbrol 64

Tomorrow I need to do the black borders between the camo colors. I found some Sharpie fine tip oil paint markers to use for that.

The added cast texture looks really good under paint.

This morning I added the black demarcation borders between the camo colors using a Sharpie Ultra Fine Tip paint marker

After lunch I took care of the overspray area, and started some detail item painting...

Overspray cleaned up... major base colors on...

And with my trusty Tamiya French Infantryman...

I think that I’ll do the gloss coat and decals next...
