The Bradley has a 25mm gun, as well as a TOW launcher. With DU sabot rounds for the gun, it is capable of piercing the side armor on older generation MBTs. And the TOW, well that can kill anything on the battlefield within range, depending upon which version of the missile is used. But, although these vehicles have a good anti tank capability, that is not their primary role.

Stuart, i have been wanting to do one of these for the falklands so some years. I will be doing a few more falklands builds in the next year.

As Carlos said, the rounds on the Bushmaster are more potent than the calibre suggests. The 30mm Rarden only users HE and SADOT rounds with a much lower rate of fire as it comes in 3 round clips with only 2 clips able to be loaded at any one time. We had been promised a replacment, at least for the Warrior, since the late 90's, but that never came about.

I used to work for Lockheed Martin when the warrior replacement was being developed - I'm not sure if you'd have wanted the bloody thing to be honest. Due to something to do with contracts it had some bloody awful French cannon in it, which due to crap mounts, couldn't put three shots in the same place. The ex- infantry RSM I worked with on the project used to get quite angry about it

I can well imagine some of the words that came out of its mouth. And now after spending £400,000 on the next upgrade, they decide to scrap it. I actually shead a tear when i heard that, bloody disgracful.

Got the Scimitar completed last night. Final weathering consisted of adding some mud useing the same celluclay mix i used on the base. Once this was dry i used some AL wet effects to give it all a wet look. I kept it all low down, the terrain on the Falklands is mostly peat so it doesn't get very dusty. With that done i added some stowage and got the turret fitted. I was going to add a 35th fabric flag but it looked a but large, even though it was the right scale so i have ordered some 48th and 72nd ones and hopefully can add one of those to an antenna.













I am really pleased with this. Nice kit and lovely AM from SMM. Deffinetly going to get some more from them. Thanks for following along.
