Thanks Stuart. Between this on and the Buffalo, I should have a nice pair to keep me busy for the next month or two.

Yeah, working with a nice pair has been a personality trait of mine for a long time… :giggles: :whistle:

Just wait until I get some paint on my work so far Lyle :hmm: This is typical ICM being very well detailed with lots of small fragile parts. I’m glad that you find this subject interesting. I sure do.

Sounding off like I’ve got a pair was never a problem for me :wink: :giggles:

The rest of todays bench session was spent on my Mig-3.

First up I drilled out and added the exhaust pipes to the engine

Then I began all the base color painting. The two different colors on the fuselage interior are due to the materials used. The rear of the fuselage is wooden while the front is metal. According to what I’ve read, the Soviets used different color lacquers on each material

I also prepped the Cutting Edge IP for assembly and installation.

Thanks guys. So far, everything fits together really nice. I’m looking forward to getting the basic airframe built.
