Seriously, I am watching in awe that you are going to fit this until calling it finished! Indeed someone has to do the dirty job!

Bad thing to see those filled gaps to braking up. Maybe you could try a 2K filler as Milliput or Magic Sculp? These also wet sand to a beautifully smooth surface.

hadn't thought about those options for filling. I have some Milliput....may break it out as well and see how it does.

Tough? I don't know. Touched? More like it. It is comical that they molded it in the proper color! Golly, gee, you mean I don't have to paint it? Wow!

I have those silly little plastic clamps flying around the room like angry bees, since they won't stay in place on the wings. I think as much as anything, this may be a chance to try a number of different solutions. I think snot is next.

Disgusting... :nono:

Take some pieces of a rubber band and fix them between your clamps and the model´s surface. This way they will stay in place!

I wish I would have some secret tip or words of consolation for you. But sorry, you will just have to muster your will to finish this beast! We are all rooting for you (and maybe silently snickering that you choose this kit) :chair: :blah:

Maybe the best secret tip in this case...would be the use of the tip of a BFH!!!

Fermis, that thought has crossed my mind almost every minute. But, it is something the wife asked me to get and build. Sigh............

Well, all I can say is congratulations on not having such wide gaps in the wings as I had! Mine were literally 1/8th inch wide! Talk about needing filler! And hey, I would have come and finished this if I'd known where you live and had the money to come down and still have enough for bail!

I also have one of these hidden somewhere in the stash that I intend to build to replace the one stolen from me. I can only hope that mine turns out as well as yours does.

I'm continuing to watch this with interest.
