Lyle! I could paint her in OD like the box art but I sorta kinda committed to the silver with all kinds of stripes theme. So many stripes! Command aircraft received a lot of stripes!!

Humbrol do make some good metallic paints - especially in enamels (although I've recently sold off all my enamels and gone 100% acrylic). You could use a flat brush, that is the recognised ''norm'' with painting models, although personally I don't - I use a small round brush like a size 3 or 4 and just work the paint in all directions.

Dude! Thanks for your intel. The stripes look dampened my enthusiasm for brush, but who knows, it’s raining cats and dogs here so maybe I’ll bunker down with some square bottles and soldier on??

Tom, at the moment I am waiting for supplies to arrive from Tamiya to begin this project. I should be able to begin in a few days, possibly as early as Friday. Thanks so much for following along.

It kinda looks like the painter did one wide one from corner to corner first, then worked out from that one… :hmm:

Nah, they are all the width of the brush except for the second from the front, where he must have messed up an edge and had to widen it to fix the mess. :bag:
