I hate a poor fit. And yet, I love the process of filling. It’s a mystery to me.
I am sorry to hear about those issues. It’s such a great subject. I know you’ll crack it.
Most of the fit is okay, it's certainly not too bad if Airfix's first solo attempt at 1/35, but the interior is pretty crap fit. Nothing a little test fitting and some patience can't solve.

The other little Military Modelling forum I go on (about ten posters - woohoo!) is having a 'from the stashes' GB - so I decided to pull this back out and get it finished, it should go on the shelf well next to the Cruiser mk.II I'm building for our '10'GB. In fact I do have a whole 'North Africa' theme I want to do.
I initially put it asides for the poor fit, and I couldn't figure out if I should paint it in assemblies. I've just decided to nail it together and get on with it (I won't put the roof on until I've painted the interior).
Just test fitting the roof and bonnet (hood to you Yanks) for now. I'll glue some if it on later.
I still don't know what went wrong with the bodywork, but I've ended up with a 1mm gap at the back...
Cheers!

Tamiya does one of these in 1/48 that I might need to get for my airfield support stuff… your build here is putting that seed in my mind

That one would be cool to see - I think Lyle built one last year and said it was a good kit.

I've been doing a bit here and there on this - I'm taking it in little steps as there's a LOT of interior painting to do and I'm trying not to rush it.
This is where it is now.
I don't know if I shared this already, but this is how I'm basically going to have it - one door open and one closed. One of the stretcher racks raised into bunks and the other lowered and set up as a bench seat. I have some medical type stowage to add - first aid bags and blankets - and some WWII British Petrol tins.
Cheers!

The interior paintwork looks great Stuart! Are you mixing the colors yourself, or using a particular brand and colors?

Thanks Carlos. For the interior colours I'm just winging it - light browns, sands, wood, green etc. but for the exterior colours I have this AK paint set which seem pretty accurate against the ref books I have -
