Mike,

Sadly, you’re right.

However—

Check in with Hayden on Britmodeller. His company is Aircraft in Miniature. As of 2023 he had the 1/72 version in resin with plans to upscale the kit to 1/48. It might be a bit of a long shot but you never know. The 3D file does exist and prototypes in 1/72 have been made, but a one man band of a company may be an answer.

Got the wings assembled. Still need a little clean up and a lot of PE. Also the flaps need the rivets and panel lines filled in cause they're not supposed to be there.

That's a shame because the rivets look nicely molded...

There's plenty of more rivets everywhere.

So the problem with the gun and almost all the parts is that this is an old ass kit and it's showing it's age. There's flash and molding issues that are causing fit issues. I've had problems with parts that I didn't have when I built the single seater.

I ordered a Red Fox cockpit set and a 3D printed gun. Not sure if the gun will fit right but we'll see. Meanwhile I've started adding PE to the wings. There's a lot that goes into the gear bays.

That is some incredibly tidy and tiny photo etch work, Mike. Looking so much better now. Something I have been studying is the whole “annealing & quenching” process with photo etch for the pair of Vickers. Is that something you do, too?

A-10!!!!!!!

:ggun:

Solid choice Mike, I've never seen the two-seater built before so it should be interesting to see. Love the idea of the what-if.

So I haven't had time to post this (internet was down for two days last week) but I got the Red Fox cockpit set and the Eduard 3D printed gun. I test fitted the gun and it'll work.

Now has anyone used these 3d printed cockpit parts? There's no instructions on how to use them.
