I'm sold on the Zimmerit sticker decals.

I'm finding that with Armour - I've no idea how Carlos builds them so quickly. I''ve been painting the wheels/tyres on my M48 for over a week and I'm still half way to go.
My kits do not get finished quickly… certainly not most of my armor builds.

Well… I do have a handful of kits on my shelf of doom that I started in the 90’s… :bag:

Those definitely fell out of the quicker category many years ago… :headslap:

Lyle, your Panther is such a nice piece of work! I can remember you complaining about all the shortcomings of your limited abilities caused by aging and all the health issues that come along with it. And now look at you! Building a Zimmerit covered tank in a faded three tone camo.

I tip my hat to you, sir!

You, kind sir, are too kind! But, this one is going quite satisfactory at this point. I am pleased at how the zimmerit stickers are working.

I think I'm done with the zimmerit stickers....so far, the smaller "fill in" pieces will not stick for some reason, or not very well. I have another one of these kits, so I might get another sheet of the zimmerit and do another.

I'm old and slow, but I learned a couple of things
1. these stickers are pretty transparent, but are a bit glossy, even with a flat / matte coat applied.
2. apply them BEFORE assembly, especially at the rear of the beast.
3. They take paint well.

I felt I needed to repaint the camo. First one prior to applying the stickers I felt was pretty good. This one, not so much.

I dunno Lyle, that camo looks pretty good to me - I'd be happy with it.

I had the same problem with the little stickers on my tiger, so I just filled in the areas it was missing using Stik's filler putty technique.

Thanks, Stuart. I'm now at the point of losing the little stuff....life is good.
