A little bit more progress, this one is pretty much on the back-burner and I only really pick it up between doing other stuff.
The anti-glare nose paint has been applied. I've also painted in the top canopy rail black, as Airfix have mistakenly moulded that part of the frame raised, when it should actually be on the inside of the canopy - it's just a strengthening bar.

Thanks Lyle - I cheated and used a Humbrol #19 Rattlecan LOL!

I prefer the rattle cans actually. I know I waste more than with an a/b, but I am way more comfortable with them. Old age, I guess.

I feel the same Lyle - for single colours or NMF you can't go wrong - so much quicker as well.

Started getting a few decals on the JP - I do like it when I get to this stage.
I probably should point out that the reason this aircraft is all over read is because it depicts an aircraft used by the Red Pelicans. The Red Pelicans were one of the early RAF display teams, formed in 1960 by the Central Flying School, and along with the 'Yellow Jacks', one of the forerunners of the Red Arrows.
At some point, I'd like to do a Yellow Jacks' Gnat, along with one used by the Red Arrows, and a Red Arrows Hawk. they should all look good together.
Anyway, decals!
Cheers!

Looking good Stuart! The roundels really stand out on the red finish.
