Looks good! Is the Lysander fabric skinned on most of the fuselage, and does that brown color represent the inner color of the fabric? :hmm:

Thanks Guys!

Carlos - yes and yes. The dope on the fabric skin went a brown colour apparently.

Current status on this build - I've been got the fuselage together, filled, sanded and rescribed.

And I'm currently painting the crew and Lewis gun.

I had some fit issues around the nose section but it was nothing serious - after a bit of fettling, I filled and rescribed the panel line, and replaced some fasteners.

I also had a slightly short-shot rear fuselage, but nothing a bit of filler and 2 minutes sanding couldn't fix.

Cheers!

It’s Irish linen that’s been doped, and has a more pinkish cast than I’m seeing here due to clear coat of dope applied, preserving the natural color of the linen on the inside before the exterior was painted camouflage. Here is a photo of a restored version that I pulled down from LSP forum that shows this appearance:

There’s a distinct reddish cast here even with the flash effect of the photo—almost fleshy.

Sorry Carlos - I forgot to answer this - but Bruce had you covered - it is doped fabric. Apparently it could vary a bit, and I've seen a couple of builds were it was a brownish colour, which I liked aesthetically, but I suspect it was probably supposed to be a more pinkish cast like Bruce has mentioned. Very little of it can be seen once assembled though.
