Yes, it is, Borg. . . in spite of my occasional ham-handedness! I even found the missing prop that I thought was lost forever.

Got her ice boots on, she is ready for winter. Stripped and repainted the nose. I bought a bottle of FS15042 Dark Sea Blue that was specified. My home-made mix was surprisingly close.
Used Life Color's Vulcanized Rubber for the boots.
Not sure about this look. It does look like weathered painted dope, but I'm thinking this plane would have been a bit more "refined". What do you think?

One does wonder why a scanned image at 100% would not match the original.
Here she sits, proudly waiting for the markings...
The decals looked ok to me, no yellowing to speak of, no obvious cracks, etc. Uh huh.
this one is after spraying a coat of bonder last night...
I thought to myself...you have a scanner, you have a color printer (laser) and you have some extra sets of decals. Let's just scan one and print on decal paper!
Hence, my wondering thought above. The printed copy is about 1/8" to 1/4" off in size.
Looks like I picked a bad time to give up intravenous drugs! (just kidding)

Oh man! I hate it when such a decal disaster happens just when you are on a roll. But it is good to know that you have your back up plan.

Using Photoshop, I was able to remove the yellowed background and print an exact copy on clear waterslide decal paper.
The paper is from World Paper (http://www.world-paper.com). Seems pretty sturdy from what I've used so far. Mixed results on the luster of the decal. Factory decals seem to be a bit shinier. Adhesion is tricky, at least for me. Once it grabs, it is pretty much in place unless you re-apply water or decal set. The color also seems a bit more translucent, but that is likely due to the printer. It also becomes a bit tedious to cut each decal from the sheet.
Atter cleaning
Decaling now with a mix of factory from another sheet and my home-spun ones. Pictures later.

Looks good!
A bit of saliva on the model, where the decal is going will help keep the decal from "grabbing" a spot you don't want it to grab!!!

Thanks, fermis. I have used saliva for a number of things, but that is a new one! I'll try that.
Kari, I have two packs of white waterslide that I cannot find until I empty the room and clean it up. I've ordered another. Maybe I won't loose this one!
