I started on the inner fender wells yesterday by removing all that nasty molded on detail and cleaned it up and painted it.

And after. (This still needs to cure out so I can polish it up and make it into a mirror finish but you can see the difference so far)

Thanks Stuart, Mark, Jimmy and Carlos! I got a little progress done over the weekend but nothing worth pics. This morning I started on the carpet. It's tricky working with the flocking material to get it as even as possible. Pics soon.

Started work on the "carpet" yesterday and spot corrected this morning. I still have a little trimming left to do but I'm all good with it. While I'm at it the dash is pretty much finished. A little trimming here and there on the chrome BMF and we'll be set there.

I didn't much like the seating that came in the original boxing (and never really have to tell you the truth).....

Image

So I upgraded from the 1/24 Monogram 55 F-100 kit seat which looks a helluva lot more up-to-date and a lot neater in appearance. (I'm glad I bought that kit in the beginning to supplement this build.)

After a lot of clean up on the seat platform I washed both parts this morning and they'll be in the primer stage by later this morning.

I was going to get up yesterday morning and work on this beast some more but had a pretty bad headache so I slept yesterday's session out. I did have some time later on in the morning after about 5 more hours of sleep to siddown and work on the drivers seat some. Some dust had landed in the paint (go figure!) so I lightly sanded the affected areas with some 3600 to smooth it all out and went too far and would up down to the primer in two spots. No worries though. I got up this morning and shot another coat of paint on the seat and on the riser. I also primed the interior fuel tank yesterday and painted this it a gloss dark red this morning. One step forward...two steps back. More progress in this coming week. I re-worked and primed the cab and hope to start laying paint down on the it by Friday. I aint gonna waste time with pics much till then just because there aint enough progress on it to justify them yet. .
