“No bucks... no Buck Rogers.”

I don’t know how to adapt that to fit this scenario.

“Big Scale... Big Bucks.”

Not only is this large scale, it is a scale that has fallen from grace in scratchbuilding circles, it seems; I think the heyday was the late Seventies. Now large scale auto is 1/12 or 1/8! Bigger and bigger toys!

I just dropped 50 bucks on The Richard Petty NASCAR Charger in 1/16. I will use the tires, suspension parts and decal stripes, too, if these will fit. I started hunting for decal graphics.

There is one Autolite sticker on the driver's side front fender.....

Bruce is going all auto!

Just for the motorsport freaks in here: a couple of weeks ago a modified Porsche LP1 Le Mans race car broke the all time lap record of the Nürburgring (a.k.a. the green hell). Timo Bernhard was incredible

51.58 seconds

faster than the old record. Check it out:

Thanks, gents! Sincerely. Your replies mean a lot to me!

Porsche Press Release:

Check the car out: same issue with fenders—Shelby cut holes in the GT 40 fenders then filled them—Porsche has them open. I wonder if this is why they had problems with “rubber sticking inside?”

A sketch I sent to Carlos last night, wherein I try to make sense of the three simplest engine mods I need to create - A, B, C -

Image

Carlos advised a clear plastic pen tube for A - just need the right diameter pen but that is gonna work, thanks so much, bud! The part that is in the circle beneath B is gonna come from the Richard Petty kit:

Image

Help on fabricating B would be great. It looks like a pie pan:

Any help identifying C is greatly appreciated!
