So.... this is where some of you boys are hanging out! In the armor department and lots of interesting work going on, by the looks of it. I really like the scratchbuilding you are doing on the engine and how it is morphing into a realistic facsimile.

I’d love to see what you would do with an armor build...

An armor build MIGHT be in my future someday but I would be jumping into a very unfamiliar pool. But I have to admit that I've always like the look of Panthers and Tigers. I remember building a Tamiya Tiger 1 with the wired remote control as a kid.

1/25? 1/16???? Those are some big models! No, I was thinking more of a manageable 1/35 scale. There are some newer tool kits available (or soon to be available)...

Yes, since a few months the options are nearly as versatile as for Tigers or 109's.

Not too hyper complicated, but neither too straight forward...
And good details with decent price...
Dragon, Meng, Takom or Tamiya... or any other maker?

Tamiya gives the best/easiest buildability. Dragon has several options, older and newer moldings, with all the usual Dragon “side effects”. Beautiful once finished, but you have to work at them and the instructions can be a headache. Meng and Takom are new to the game. They do tend to be more sophisticated kits, including interiors, as shown above. There is also an older Italeri Jagdpanther out there as well. Buildable, but I would not pay too much for it. Each re issue costs more, for no improvement of the basic kit. Like their Tigers with a little help they can be stunners, but that depends upon how much money and time you want to commit...
