Nice pin vices!
Starrett = good tools. After 30 plus years as a machinist I think I have invested more in Starrett tools than I paid for my first new car! :giggles: :giggles:

Blacksheep (Tom) and Scruffy (Ernie), Thank you both so very much for your replies. I’m grateful. Yes; my wallet is somewhat lighter due to these recent acquisitions. I’m still debating on the type of tool or tackle box to house small tools. My temporary lifestyle warrants a mobile approach. Cheers.

A mobile modeling box sounds like a great approach Bruce. At least then you know where all your tools and supplies will be.

This is how I store and move this project around with me, Carlos. I need to improve what I am doing. Obviously. Also! Thanks for that tip on using the Aurora wing supports. I have slimmed down the first one to fit perfectly within the Eduard center wing.

SMER/Aurora (original, modified) on left; Eduard Overtrees on right.

If you have a Harbor Freight in your area....

I’m fortunate I have the exact same tool box that belonged to my grandfather. It may be a bit heavy but it has tons of drawer space.

She’s coming along very well :-) I don’t know much about building bi-planes, but that seems to be fitting nicely, and that upper wing is looking good on there.

I bought one of those some time ago just because it was so cute. I mostly use it for R/C stuff. But that's not a tool box, this is a toolbox!

Thanks, Ken! Thanks, John. Duly noted as a tool chest, not a box. I am actually thinking of a Hoffman box like my Dad used for slot cars, but that’s just a fantasy at this point. Realistically I could repurpose a big tackle box or a retro vintage steel box with a handle. More fantasy stuff.

When I was a kid I had all my modeling stuff in a tube caddy - kudos if you know what that is :giggles:
