Thanks Bruce. Yes it is the Monogram B-26. I got carried away, adding more, and more, and more... yes there is a build thread here... or some of one anyways as it was started on the original site. BUT... the photos are all on Photobucket. I went there to get these few.

I keep a lot of that kind of stuff hanging around too. If you want a roll of super fine wire for dirt cheap then pick out an automotive relay that's headed for the trash. There's literally a roll of it inside as part of the coil winding. Here's a photo of it being used for a spark plug wire on a 1/48 BMW R-75 Motorcycle. Check it out:

There are lots of sources for wiring but sometimes its difficult to find the right gauge for modeling applications. I have some strands of fine wire stripped from various electrical components. For thicker wire, I use spools of lead wire sold to fly fisherman to weight their flies. And I just picked up some "in-between" wiring sizes from UMM-USA.

iPhone/iPod charging cords are a great source of superfine wire. I have never found a better source. As far as zip ties go, I started seeing those used regularly in the mid 80’s or so on Army wiring. Before that, it was those rubber lined aluminum clamps like you see in the photo. On aircraft, that is all I recall seeing for wire bundle routing tie downs.
