Torben, Kari, Carlos—great conversation, y’all! I seem to recall Torben displaying a jagdpanther in his recent acquisitions...

Copy that! The Meng shares a lot of parts of their Panther A I'm building at the moment and it's a beautiul kit. Great details and fantastic fit on par with Tamiya. You also don't have to hassle with a quadrillion of interior parts.

Bruce: Nope, but it's on my wishlist. Latest tank acquisition was a Sherman. And a Tiger 1.

:stirpot: <- stirring an even bigger pot...

There would be one Meng available in my local (~ 100km) hobby shop... :hmm:

Sorry for the threadjack, Bruce... I hope you don't mind the side conversation. Just say the word and we can take the party to another room.

As for the Jagdpanther... this is all hypothetical for me at this point in time. Honestly... I'm not ready to start an armor project. My immediate goal is to finish Red 1. My secondary goal is to re-start the 262 build. At some point after completion of Red 1, I'll probably start considering new projects. If I happen to do a Jagdpanther in the future, the Meng kit is the one that I was focusing on. Internally, it has the gun but not a full interior like the RFM and Takom kits, which is probably better for a noob like me. My inclination is toward a hard-edged tri-color scheme... I just think it looks cool. I've thought about zimmerit too... the anti-magnetic coating that was applied to many German tanks. I'm guessing that some research would be necessary to determine how Jagdpanther variants, zimmerit applications, and color schemes line up. Lots to think about!

Kari... I'd love to see you do a Jagdpanther!

John! You are always welcome! This is a fellowship. I know you will find unanimous support for any subject, any kit you choose to build. I receive alerts on your Me 262A (version?) sent to my email, so I hear the cries of “Thunnus!” and I know you will heed them at some point. Honestly I was researching a good kit of the Dornier Do! I like what Marius aka Bolleken does in 1/72 and it looks like ICM has reduced their 1/48 version down to 1/72. Actually at the moment I would choose Frog's version of the Dornier Do, with Xtradecals from Rebel Alpha.

The Flying Pencil should be a good project. There's lots of potential projects floating around in the mind for me. Besides the stuff I've got on the shelf already.

This would be a good shelf companion to the Special Hobby 1/32 Tempest...

Although it was technically a failure, I always thought the Jagdtiger looked cool...

To re-visit my childhood, it'd be fun to add this one to my collection...

I hope you are having a wonderful Holiday season, Bruce. Cheers to you and all of the future projects!
