Also... I'd be willing to cut you custom masks for the circle markings on my Portrait if you give me exact dimensions. Or a scan of the decal sheet.

You have a Portrait? Me, too....but I haven't spent the time with it that I need to.

Yes! It's a great tool! I used it on my 262 for the tail mottling and also the Werk Number code...
The biggest hurdle is how to create the mask file that the Portrait uses. Fortunately, I am familiar with AutoCAD and can easily draw what I need and export to a DXF format, which the Portrait can decipher.

Gentlemen, thank you!
And John, specifically- thank you for the recommendation on the circle cutter! I ordered one from amazon on your recommendation. I should be able to take care of the insignias and stripes, but the tail numbers? I don’t think I can do those. Would you be amenable to cutting some masks from those?

Also, I got the base coat on the turtle deck, and I got the windscreen and canopy masked. And I test-fit those clear parts, and they fit flawlessly.

Were those masks pre-cut or did you do that neat work by yourself?

The circles would've been SO easy! Numbers... yeah, I can have a crack at that! Can you send me a scan of the decal set so I can see the size/style of the numbers? And give me the physical dimensions of the scanned sheet so I can scale appropriately in AutoCAD.

It may take a few days. I'm getting ready for the bass season opener at Barrett Lake coming up in a couple of weeks. My friend just made me a custom 7'2" bass stick... Rainshadow Eternity blank with titanium guides... it's so sick! The rod weighs about 3 ounces total! I've got a Curado 150 DC (Digital Cast control) reel incoming to match with it. I'll post photos of the new combo when the reel arrives next week.

Oh wow! I think this year I am gonna find Chuck Yeager’s spot in the Sierras and fish for that fabled trout... is it golden trout? Congratulations on your new gear, John!
