Thanks Brent. Man I'm tryin'
'Preciate the good word Mark.
Carlos: I've used lacquer based "Wet Look" Clear which brings out a beautiful shine but that stuff'll eat acrylic color coats like it was desert.

I hate gloss coats. Still haven't found the perfect one for me.

If you're dealing with enamel or lacquer based paints then Wet Look is da bomb. You have to decant it from the can to shoot it because it's has high aeriation levels straight from the can but it delivers consistent results every time. It's actually more of an enamel coating than it is a lacquer which makes it suitable for either enamel or lacquer paint.

Mike I had good luck with Micro Gloss by Microscale for a gloss coat long ago. Micro Flat on the other hand gave me fits on my first attempt so I pitched it. I’m going to try them again sometime down the line since Future seems to be something of an endangered species, and I’m not sure as to its current availability.

I'm very careful with using Future as a gloss. I only use it on smaller pieces as it does NOT take to sanding very well......at least in my experience.

Been goin' on with the cals for the last few days. Those #3's are giving me a little static but other than that everything else is working out. NOTE....Do NOT EVER buy decals from Peddinghouse. OMG they're bad. I only used the big 3's and the tail numbers out of the whole set. Just terrible in terms of out of scale lettering and walkway red dash sizes. It was like there was little to no research on them. For the rest of the decals I used the EagleCals set that I started out with on this one before I decided to build White 3.

Thanks Johnny. Had a hang up with the front jack point decals this morning.....the one with the dotted line up front on the bottom of the nose. I fought that thing for 30 minutes and had looked at my references SEVERAL times and STILL had the thing on backwards. I removed it and put it back on the carrier film to apply at the next bench session.

Thanks Lyle. Soon ol' buddy. When this one's done I'll be switching back over to the Maverick.
