Sounds good and thank you for the advice. I think that I will try it on my F-4G when I resume that project. I had been thinking about using foil, but there was always the seam issue to deal with. This is the perfect way to tackle the oleos. Especially since it can be masked.

Alclad is definitely maskable, even without a clear over it. In fact, I avoid clear coats over the shinier Alclad finishes such as Chrome as they tend to dull the finish. Just make sure you give it ample time to dry prior to masking. I like to let it dry overnight.

... looking around for more photos here! Allclad, hm. Okay. I like the struts and landing gear covers a lot, and find myself thinking about what you said about mini detailing or sectional detailing even now. Since this resonates, I assume I will face the issue of creating a unified whole from individual parts... Have you decided the year of service for this model? I think you indicated pretty much to the month and year the particular moment you are creating, but that is heavily on my mind as well with every modeling project.

At the rate of my build project progress, overnite drying is no problem...

Ok guys... a temporary delay while I migrate my pictures from Photobucket to IMGUR and edit my past posts to direct to new photo links. I'm not going to let Photosuckit to mess with my Dora build. Will be back shortly!

Ok... I've finished fixing this 23 page post. Can someone verify that the photos are showing up? I have my IMGUR account set to "hidden" but hopefully direct links to photos are working.

Page 1 loads with the Imgur photo migration on my iPhone 7, John. The speed of loading the first images in the cycle is a little slow, but subsequent images load more quickly. A possibility for this could be the first ten images are larger files than the ones which follow... I didn't hang out for a long time to see if these images would all eventually load, but I wager they do, just not as quickly as the others.
