Thank you, Stuart and Carlos!

I finished up the gear assembly and weathering. I gave the gear a wash, and a dusting with Earth-toned pigments. Here is the results:

Sorry for the poor photo. Those are difficult to snap a good photo of. This is a little better:

I am test-fitting the landing gear now. The thing I like most about these Taniya Emils is, they make it a bit easier for me to achieve a correct stance than the Eduard Emils. I game to fuss over those a lot more.

Wow! I missed your post about the exhausts, apologies—there is a hell of a lot of work going on there—and you completely caught the effects of the exhausts without going too far in one direction of too little or too much—these appear of a piece with the rest of your weathering. Good job, bud!

Congratulations on the gear. That must feel so good to have those licked!

Thank you, Bruce! I also did the staining last night, then slept on it. I was happy enough with it to seal it, today:

I'm loving your weathering on this - it looks great!

You did a good job on that landing gear. I hear you in regards to poor fitting U/C - it's such a balls ache trying to get it to fit!

Excellent work with the exhaust stubs and landing gear. Positive landing gear attachment is always a good thing.

Thanks buddy! Positive attachment gives me the warm and fuzzies but even still! I could bone it if I’m not careful.

I am thinking about using a different glue next time around. See here, the Extra Thin melts plastic. Melting the plastic in those holes *could* introduce a margin of error. I encountered that a little while ago. Where there was no slop during test fitting, there was slop after the Extra Thin application. Not much slop, but slop none the less. Next time around it will be super glue. The stance on these 109’s has to be just-so. And I am happy to report that I did better than last time.

She’ll be on her back for the next 24 to let it all settle and harden up.

Meanwhile I guess I’ll have to mask and paint the windscreen and canopy.

I don’t want this project to be over. I’ve been enjoying this.
