Beautiful work on the Emil, and congrats on the move. It sounds as though that were wise. Soon your kids will be old enough to start building models. I had one friend of mine who's kids were building at three.

Yeah, Coors ain't bad but I'll stick to my usual thinners for my paints.

BTW, love the new avatar! That really brings out the joy you feel when you are building!

Yep my man, lately it’s been Coors. I like other beers though, Guinness, New Castle, and various Belgians like Palm Session Ale, Golden Draal, and the like. But yeah, these days it’s cheap American suds, brewed in Colorado.

Cheers my man! Me and the bébés demolished a couple of Cuban sandwiches from Cafe Habana City. I been flying solo with them while Mrs. Kenny X is spending the weekend with her sisters. I didn’t take them out there though, they were having way too much fun at home. I used Waitr. It’s awesome. Anyway, thank you! I’m happy with how this project is wrapping up. It has really been a lot of fun. A most enjoyable build!

A great list. I grew up on cheap American suds. Do they have “Suds n’ Duds” where you live? I miss that about middle America—drinking your way through the spin cycle... best o’ luck to you as a solo twin wrangler!

What a capital idea! A laundromat with a bar in it! We actually don’t have those here. Which, that’s a surprise to me because he have drive-thru daiquiri stores, ZERO open container in public laws, and Hell, the gym I go to serves beer and wine unstairs in the juice bar -I’m not joking.

I started training for powerlifting six months or so before my ex-wife and I moved to Pittsburgh. I’d been training in a small gym on the army base where I was workin at the time. She wanted to move back to be closer to her mom and dad. I did some research and found a great powerlifting gym there, owned by Mr. Ryan Celli -a world-class competitor in the sport, and I said “Cool! I’ll move as long as I can train at Celli’s.” And we moved.

So I’m lifting at Ryan Celli’s gym, and it’s awesome. Total hardcore, meathead gym. Lifters there are regularly benching 400, 500, 600+ pounds. It was like a really clean, well-appointed dungeon full of HUGE dudes who were serious about lifting but also really cool and helpful.

Then I move to Lafayette. Gotta find a gym. Red’s is the only game in town. HUGE facility. Tennis courts. Yoga classes. Pool. Saunas. Thousands of members. A juice/coffee/smoothie bar upstairs that serves booze... I was floored.

I actually miss Celli’s. Boutique gyms aren’t really for me. But I can still get work done at Red’s. I just put on my headphones and head over to the platform, saying nothing to no one.

But back to point- no Suds-N-Duds here. But nobody in the laundromats care if you bring beer with you, and you wouldn’t get arrested.

Still, something like that would be a HUGE success down here I bet.

The first laundromat with a bar opened in my town a couple of years ago. We all thought what a brilliant and somewhat crazy idea that is. I've should have known that its origin must be the states. I mean, from a country that sells booze in gyms you have to expect everything.

And I agree on Guiness. But mostly I drink Kilkenny.

Kenny, I think one of the things that I truly miss about your neck of the woods are the drive thru daiquiri places. I had told my wife about them, but she did not believe me. Then, when we went back to east Texas when my dad died a couple years ago, sure enough, there was one of those drive thru daiquiri places. Unfortunately we could not partake due to the needs of that situation. Which Army base were you working on Kenny?
