Nice recovery. I too use isopropyl alcohol with tamiya, but I've been usingn70%. The mr leveler works great with mr color paints. Big fan

Masking looks great Lyle! I always use Tamiya thinner with their paint. I use to use 91% rubbing alcohol but was getting a strange outcome all of a sudden like the paint was drying too fast. Maybe it had something to do with weather, humidity or something else. Anyway can never go wrong using the companies brand thinner. Even though their are a lot of people who swear by Mr. Leveling thinner and Tamiya.

I started with using Oramask 810 but it is not as flexible as I would like and if the masks get old they shrink and I don't like that. I've switched to using sheets that Tamiya sells that are 9 1/2 X 7 and seem to be even thinner than the tape they sell. Very good stuff!

I think I’d agree with that. Both have uses.

Not sure why I bother... :hmm: But, done with decals/insignia. Not much of any stencil decals since they are too small and too faint to read on the decal sheet that is supplied. It is such a light blue background that it makes the white decals all but invisible. Not impressed.

Got some Molotow Chrome on the landing lights and nav lights

Now for the real fun. I have added and removed the bombay doors and mechanisms 3-4 times. I guess the older I get, the more spatially challenged I get. The instructions make sense NOW, after finding a build on FSM that had a pic of the bay area. What a doofus.

Will touch up the dull coat where I had to add some gloss to apply the wing tip marking and such. Any more problems (like the alignment pins on the bay doors not matching the recessed area on the fuselage) this crap sandwich may die from the Chinese virus.

You’re doing fine Lyle! Remember, better than the last, not as good as the next one...

Lyle, hang in there! Don't let this one beat you, especially since it is one of your favorite aircraft. You got this man!

I've been known to skip those dark stencils on a dark background. It's coming along now!

Thanks guys. Fresh attack in the morning. I’m going to have to do some creative thinking on fixing the internal braces.
