Just saw that engine cowling and ....................DAMN that's good!! Nice'n smooth black paint. After you get the gloss coat on and let it cure you can wet sand it with some 4000, then 6000, then 8000 and on to the 12000 grit ranges and the bust out the Novus 2. It'll look like glass.

Thank YOU. Thank goodness you exist. I have most of these fine papers on hand, but I need to get Novus 2. That is on my list!

John! Apologies for my late reply. I have been hors de combat for work reasons. Thank you so much for following and responding to my posts. I had a rescheduled supply drop from local hobby store Brookhurst Models which is holding me up; so I took advantage of the down time to work on cleaning house for the holidays as well. I sincerely apologize for being tardy. I notice some fit issues with the instrument panel which I fully intend to address. I may or may not use the instrument bezels. I think the instrument panel is going to be flat. I would like to decide that issue tonight so I may move on with building.

Exhaust stacks

I believe I need to hollow them out or use brass tubing to correctly depict the exhaust openings. I didn’t consider this at first but I recently found photos of a 1/32 Weddell Williams Red Lion (Williams Brothers as well) which depicts this quite clearly.

Hi Bruce, just a suggestion, you can also use Q-tip pipes for exhausts if diameter fits. Or straws. Just an idea.
If I was living in America, I would 3D-print them for you...

I have a resin 3D printer if you have the file I would happily make and send them to Bruce.

Well, I don't have any 3d model until now. But I can provide that if Bruce can provide some diameters and probably some more information regarding shapes and geometry. Keep me informed guys.

Thanks, gents. I sincerely appreciate both of your offers and the enormous creativity behind your own work. I spent the day trying to work out how to get my girlfriend from Rome to Los Angeles and I think we have a plan. Tonight I am going to look through my stock of Albion Alloy tubing to see if I have something close, and I will update this space in a bit. Cross my heart. I also received a red Gundam Marker (paint pen with chiseled felt tip). Huzzah. Thank you, Brookhurst Hobbies.



I am going to do some wing tests to see if I can use this to pull off the red pin striping. We shall see, said the blind man.
