Glad you came up with something that works! I do like archer rivets and a few always get used on armor to replace ones lost to sanding etc.

Creeping along now! I think there is a natural momentum that is developed with each build. When that is interrupted, I find it difficult to re-start that engine. Another negative with having multiple on-going builds, I guess.

I've augmented the chipping using a sponge, which is very subtle and probably not visible in these photos. The model has been given a flat coat.

it is funny how the momentum will ebb and flow. This is really a sharp build.

I wonder if the oil spill here was design consistent in a pattern of threes. All engines leak, at least that’s what my Dad would say to me. I suppose this could be Allied mechanics messing around, too.



What is bloody amazing is his well your blends are hidden. Almost invisible! There are very few indications of what a construction nightmare this kit was for you. Amazing! Congratulations, John.

I'm not sure what that dark stain under the exhausts of Green 4 is. Due to shadow, it's hard to see exactly what is going on there.


It doesn't appear that White 7 had the same issue. I did attempt to portray that small longitudinal streak just below the forward exhausts on the starboard side.

What a great color photo! I don’t think I’ve seen that one before. I bet there was specific reason for the spills in that case. Are you planning to add fluid weathering effects of any kind?

I see that I'm not the only one who's stepped away from his main project at the bench for a little while. Funny how when we take a step back for a bit and re-approach the bench things seem to just work themselves out. Those latches you received and applied are the "bee's knees" John.
