Those wing spars look nice and strong

Oh my LORD man!! That is some FANTASTIC detailing in that pit. As with all aircraft builds, it's almost a shame to cover everything up by joining the fuselage halves together.

Thanks Carlos, the spars are strong. But I had expected overall a tighter fit with the wing, slightly more surface available for cement. Of course not a disaster, but still, could be better. I remember when I built Eduards excellent 1:48 Hellcat, the wings snapped on so nicely and stayed sturdy without any cement.

Heck, I have one as well in my stash ( a Weekend edition), so that might very well be my next build... I'm a little bit into Pacific campaign lately

The build is progressing and the wings & stabilizers are on as well as the rudder.

The rudder is very specially made. It's a one piece rudder but partially hollow.

I believe this is a sort of a statement from Eduard, to show that they can produce very complicated molds to be able to cast such pieces. That's the only practical reason I can come up with. Otherwise to "over-engineer" a rudder this way, does not make any sense to me.

Even if over engineerd, it's still sort of impressive.



As a foot note:
I shared a tiny video-clip of this rudder on my GrundAsk facebook page and was positively surpised when the same clip was shared on the "SAM - Scale Aircraft Modelling" Publishers Facebook page!
Even if it did not became a hit, with hundreds and hundreds of likes and tons of comments... I'm still honored to be this way acknowledged :-)
