Interesting what happened with the tape test - the finish looks great though.

I hope you source some decals for it as it'll be great to see it finshed (or Finnished )

That metal finish does look very nice but I would not like a coat that is that fragile.
And what a strange thing that this modern kit has such a bad fit.

Just arrived today, now officially this thread will be a good inspiration to build my micromachine magister but possibbily not in metal finish



the metallness of these vallejo seems really good but a good grip is better

The finish is indeed good, but ja, so fragile..
And indeed, let's see if it will ever be finished with appropriate decals or just Finnished...

Agree, very tricky to use as so fragile. Will though during weekend try with some primed surface, feels odd that it is so sensitive and fragile.

I am so disappointed on Kinetics Fouga. And as I am not really fond of puttying gaps etc, probably mainly because I am not so good in it (to sand, to get a smooth even surface), therefore the disappointment is perhaps double big.

Sorry to hear about the kit. That really sucks.

Oh and on the paint, they said that there was some bad batches that went out. It's not supposed to do that if I'm remembering correctly.

Allright, some final additions and this birdie goes on the shelf to wait for better times (= the correct decals)

I have a sheet of Finnish roundels, so thought to make a "poor mans" decaling excersise and at least put the roundels on the Fouga


But as everything with the kit seems to be "fragile"... So also with the decals...


Therefore I decided that one decal is enough for now..


And finally, a family-portrait of my two Fougas. On the right is Hellers 1/72, a kit I had so much more fun to make. The fit was excellent, good plastic, good instructions (even if very simple build of course) and it was smooth to build.
BsYamato will have good time with the kit one day...

Despite the problems the kit looks fine Kari. Try with superfilm liquid to save these Finnish roundels , I use it for old or homemade decals.
I suspected the Heller kit will be a fun build
