Just wanted to share my test results:
Upon showing my wife and daughter the droptanks they got hugely excited about (ofcourse...) the airframe aluminum shade.

The Frog rules! Beautiful paint. Airfixer, thanks for the cladding info. You are a valuable resource.

Erik,
I am more than amazed about your encyclopaedic knowledge!

Never before have seen such a great depiction of a F-86´s skin material and tones variations! Thanks for this!!!

For a simple reason...
The Sabre Dog and its "Lima" and "Kilo" variants are ranked second on my list of favourite jet aircraft and I've got plenty of reference material in my bookshelf dealing with the F-86 in general - mostly USAF TOs (technical orders).

You have to love those Alclad colors. You have a good hand to make them shine, Kermit. Great work!

I must apologise for the lack of Alclad goodness but i have a good excuse....
Took my wife and daughter out for a three day stay at this lovely resort hotel. We all needed a little getaway
BUT!!
I just layed down the second and final coating session of the airframe aluminum. Pics to follow in the morning

As promised. Basecoat of Alclad Airframe Aluminum is on. The following pictures were taken with natural light after buffing the finish somewhat with an old t-shirt
Next intended step is to pick out certain panels with the Duraluminium and Dark Alumium

Wonderful! Just wonderful! Is this resort in AZ, too?
Oh, the kit, too!
The shine is awesome! Almost mirror-like. Some of the best and immaculate Alclad jobs I have seen so far.
