Re: 1/700 Akagi - under the bridge
Unfortunately not - but you can see them on many original pictures.

Re: 1/700 Akagi - handrails and beam hoists
Wow, Lucas. You sure are moving right along on this one! Looking great.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

Lovely detail work with that PE.

Re: 1/700 Akagi - handrails and beam hoists
"Wow!" was the first that came to my mind, too! I couldn´t do this in 1/350, let alone in 1/700... Very clean and precise work, remarkable!
Re: 1/700 Akagi - handrails and beam hoists
LOL. Yep, these fiddly parts are really challenging. From time to time I need something bigger scaled, like flowers in 1/35 for example.

Re: 1/700 Akagi - handrails and beam hoists
Very nice work. I built one 1/700 carrier, once...
No caffeine, no alcohol, and an Optivisor.
I frankly did not enjoy the experience. and took it apart several times.

The planes were included in the kit, but not the PE - these are from Eduard (99044 IJN Carrier Aircraft).

When the markings painting is the parts double,
the modeler surely will be in trouble.
