I did paint the engine first...as it is. Then added the rods (trial-n-error, to size the first one, then used that as a guide for the rest)..painted those. I did drill for the wires. Each pair of wires is a single wire, folded, leaving a tiny CA holding loop....dip it and stick it! I did half of the top cylinders, let glue dry, trimmed and bent to shape...then did the other half (they get tricky to handle when you have wires sticking out all the way around). Repeat for the bottom row of cylinders. I completely ignored those tiny dents.

Trying to light this thing, for the camera to pick it up like the eyeball, is about impossible.
This is about as close as I could get, to how I see it with me eyes...

Awesome result Fermis! That is an older kit and not the easiest to put together. Great job.

Well done, Fermis! I did a 1/48 scale Monogram version back in my youth years. Big bird and a fun build back then.

I just noticed there aren’t any gun barrels on the dome piece. I’m assuming only the nightfighter versions did?
