Nice one Stikpusher. that PE is a game changer. saw how it changed the basic cockpit interior and wheel bay. plus the mod you did with the styrene, its going to look great once painted.

Thanks Monty. And I agree about the PE. It sure does lift this kit up. There is an English company. Flightpath I believe, that makes an insane PE update set for this kit. Far more comprehensive
I hope to get this all primed and painted in the next few days so I can get full basic assembly completed.

Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow evening while you guys are having fun at the meeting. I should not rotate to having Fridays and Saturday’s off again until May. I do plan to have this done by then. Maybe even a few more as well.

What a great ide to saw a piece of plastic tube to make circles with!
Again one of those simple but still so brilliant ideas !

Very nice work Carlos! Twin boom aircraft builds can be tricky so a bit of dry-fitting of the major components may be prudent before you get too far.

Carlos, your subject choice is so interesting (edit: actually all of your subjects and kits are!). Did you check AlleyCat Resin? Photos below. I believe you may have influenced a sale.

Kari, that was the whole idea, keep it simple. The actual spade grip has a more complex shape, but will be only slightly visible once completed. So I went with close enough.

Yes, that is my next major area of concern after I get the wings on. One challenge at a time...

When is Valleycon? As things stand for me I can’t plan too far ahead. Especially right now for things of that sort.

No Bruce, I have not come across anything from them. When I did my searches for the Vampire in 1/48, they did not come up. That kit does look very nice. I know that I am re examining all the early jets in my stash for near future projects.
