Thank you, Kari!

Yes sir, and it’s kind of a two-edged sword type of thing. There’s supposed to be a seam there, but I also did a reall great job of joining it, I’m improving HAHA!!

Ah well. I’m still having fun.

Now about going back and re-sealing the seam on the cowl. I only have one concern. It takes several layers of that lift blue to cover the putty. That white really shows through... I’m just worried that if I use too much, I won’t be able to cover it. That’s probably unfounded, though. Anyway, it’s supposed to rain a lot this weekend, so I’m going to put airbrushing on hold (I airbrush outside), and work on sanding and filling, and hand-painting the landing gear parts, and perhaps assembling them.

You can always prime or base coat over the repair to give a uniform color to work over. Just cover the whole panel area in the same color: white, gray, black, aluminum, it doesn’t really matter... before you do the top color and then you should be fine.

Cool. I’ll base coat it but I won’t use the primer I normally use, that stuff doesn’t cover the white very well either.

Thank you guys for the advice. I sanded, re-sealed, re-primed, and am much happier with that seam. I got some more printing done on the fuselage today as well.

Slow and steady.

Got the camouflage started. So far it’s going okay.

Thanks fellas!

I was able to squeeze-in a little work in after we got the bébés to bed. Got the landing gear installed. It’s coming along. I’m really enjoying working on this one.

And oh damn, looks like I need a touch-up there on the wing. Must’ve happened earlier today when I was spraying the blue tips on the front of the wings. I’ll do that tomorrow if the weather permits.
