Wow, I'm constantly overwhelmed by your masterful work! This is brilliant!

Thanks Mark.
I did things a little backwards on this build. I'm still waiting on some parts and trying to figure out how I'm going to do the interior so I decided to lay down the initial color coat after ALOT of body work. Got rid of the molded El Camino emblems on the side of the body. Will try to find a set of cals or PE to replace them with.

Oh man I like those lines... and that color!

Re: '59 El Camino-Paint-09/16
Thanks fellas.
Man what a flip flop of ideas I've had with this build. I had somebody on the forums offer up a Revell 348 which beats the OOB AMT offering all to HECK!
I'm most of the way finished with the 348 engine build as of this morning and still need to touch up a couple of areas thanks to the Macro Shots.
Progress...…………...FINALLY!!
converted the oil filter from the cannister type to a spin on so I could use a decal and spruce things up a little more.
I also added a fuel line and the oil filler tube and cap and pinned the oil filler onto the manifold to keep it from falling off on down the road and touched up that area with the missing paint.
