Thanks Bruce. I edited the post just to explain the whole process I used on the chassis. It just looks basic black all the way across the board but the picture really doesn't do it much justice I'm afraid.

I’m liking that fact that you’re doing this one stock and pretty factory fresh, and I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying buildings a slightly more modern kit – sometimes it’s nice to be able to do that!

Joe, we are simply stating the truth about your work. This is all stunning work and I love the description you gave. I might try something similar on a smaller scale with some of my Braille Scale cars. I'm also glad to see you can pose the front wheels. Working on a new kit sure feels great eh?

I really appreciate the encouragement and the kind words fellas. I've been able to acquire several newer model kits and it is kind of cool to build these as this is when I started appearing in dealerships about the time these newer 1:1 scale cars started appearing.

I still have to move the rear tires inwards a little but I've just about got the wheel/ tire and stance set up where I want it. The wheel and tire fit was a little bit of a trick for the rear wheels but I managed to get it to work alright. I coated all wheels with Tamiya Smoke (X-19) to get rid of the toy chrome look. The chassis isn't adhered to the body yet which will pull the body down to set a better stance but you get the idea anyways.



I also received my re-mastered decals from Thomas at Speedway Decals.

Mustang, what a great series of images... truly, outstanding work by you! I also want to thank you for what you wrote about “Attaboy” and the delicate nature of criticism. Good words. I will never stop crowing about a PM you sent me describing a good finish process. This was a revelation. I used to use 400 grit for everything without exception.

Thanks Bruce. Most folks are hard to read online so I just use the "sugar" approach to gauge their personality type. There was one guy we had over at the auto forum that I'm one of the admins on that it didn't make any difference how you approached him. He was a jerk no matter what. It was too bad really and most folks just stopped commenting to his posts altogether. Some folks are like that I guess.

Glad to be of help to you. I used to do the same thing with sanding myself till I got taught.

Stuart: Thanks and yes he scanned them in and made the red pop a little more like it was on the 1:1 scale ride originally. Great to see you around pal.
