Not much to show been busy with Christmas and family. Using Sculptamold I started making the cave area and hanger for the snow speeder. the rounded back wall got hit with some stone texture paint then a coat of Tamiya primer over that. Hard to see in the photos but I have the hanger and cave lit also the landing lights hooked up.

Thank you guys for the kind words. No that kit is a 1/48 scale, I got a Revell of Germany 1/72 snowspeeder marketed as a pocket kit it's kind of a hard to find now. I got it off ebay from what I've read they was only sold in Europe.

Oh, I'm such a sucker for diorama work. Especially when it comes to science fiction. Fantastic work so far, it really comes to life.

Kari Thanks for you kind words sometimes I feel like I may add to much explanation in my posts and bore people.

So I've started and finished the Revell Snowspeeder in a bit over a day.

First thing was sub-assemblies made, primed with Tamiya grey primer. Then the same mix of Tamiya White and Deck Tan that was used on my falcon was sprayed on. The cockpit was painted with Vallejo German Grey and Olive Drab. The light Grey on the upper surface was painted a mix of Vallejo German Grey an Light Grey. Next the front and rear panels was drilled out and 66 fiber optic strands was added. I flare the ends out by getting the end close to my old soldering iron.



Then it was all glued togeather with the fiber optics strung from the bottom hole I drilled into it.

I took a micro razor saw and opened up the cockpit and gave the entire model a dark pin wash.

Last some panels was picked out with a grey Mig filter and some with a brown.
