Thanks so much, Joe, Lyle and Carlos.
Question: the aircraft comes with underwing nukes and flash pods, but the only underwing stores I have seen hanging off the wings of this beast have been 400 gallon McDonnell Douglas fuel tanks.
From the research I am doing these were rarely used as the aircraft has plenty of fuel storage inside.
So, just keep these off?

Yes... photos show the Vigi’s were usually clean... which means drag free and much faster... like the F-105 she was designed for high speed low level delivery of nukes.

Thank you, sir! Also I may be acting like a jerk about this but I’m trying to stretch by doing this aircraft and I will do my best to make it serve as a good model representing the actual aircraft. I sincerely appreciate the way everyone here is supportive of each other and I have always felt that what separates SPAM from other forums is the kindness of its members; not to beat a dead horse but to reiterate what I truly, truly believe.

This is looking really fine right now Bruce. I also love the sketch of the interior bracing you made; I highly recommend it.
I built a Trumpeter Vigi myself some time back as a tribute for another friend who'd passed. I don't remember any of those issues though. Here's mine:
