Hacking away at this. I want to "finish" the engine, but I am making myself wait for the Spaz Stix clear. Please hurry.

This is the brush that i used on the grill. It fits nicely between the bars. It is a 5/0 liner brush

The second attempt on the grill doesn't look as good as the first to me, but I am "Okie Dokie" (attributed to Sherman T. Potter) with it.

That looks like enough on the block Lyle. Next time we'll go with a light acrylic dark wash. Leave 'er as is for now.

And yes....wait for the Spaztix. You'll be glad you did.

I'll check out your progress this evening potna.

Thank you guys for your confidence in the abilities. I fought the battle over the last few years and can only say that it's just stuff that I've learned along the way and am happy to pass along.

Nice progress Lyle. I love a model kit with a separate chassis like this.

I watched about a 15 minute video review of this kit and it is indeed a very nice kit. For some reason AMT gets a bad rap amongst some modelers but IMO they are worlds better than 90 % of the Revell automotive kits out there and it's things like that separate chassis that makes alot of the difference. Other things that AMT does that Revell didn't do for the LONGEST time was offering the oil pan as a separate piece rather than being molded into the engine block halves.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how well things have gone together. I was horrified at the number of parts and fragile they looked. They went together very easily...with copious amounts test fitting.

Chassis looks pretty dang good Lyle. I see alot of semi gloss black which is okay but remember to break it up a little with some different shades and subtle details.
