I like the final product. Can't imagine a brighter blue. How did you keep the paint from building up?

:shoutout: Looking good in warpaint there Fermis! Very nice work! Having a look at photos of Flankers, and the darkest blue shade sure does seem to weather. When new, it is quite vivid, but it sure grays out and fades along the way. So that really does leave you a LOT of wiggle room as to which shade you pick.

The first blue I had on there was about as blue as the backdrop! YIKES!!!
I spray very thin, so there really isn't any "build up".

True Blue is a USN insignia marking color. That’s what the pre WWII USS Enterprise Air Group used as their tail color in the Yellow Wings days.

It looks great in that setting, but I cannot see it on the Flanker camo.

The Ukrainians use the more vivid blues on the Flankers

Beautiful work! The final shade of blue you picked looks the part to me. Also the metal finish on the exhaust is excellent.

The paint on both Flankers looks great! Nice contrast between the two schemes!

Magnificent work Fermis! Wow, this is amazing, especially the exhaust metallics! I keep trying to get a similar effect but have failed miserably so far.

Moochass grassyass, Amigo's !!!!

Been a bit slow...still. 1/1 remodeling project is nearing the end...also been picking up the graveyard shift for snow patrol at my airport.

Anyway...several bench sessions spent on nothing but decals...tons of em on the 35...just over 250  ...and more to go, when I get to the missiles :whiteflag:

Got the 15 on its feet and most of the fiddley bits in place...nearing the end for this one!

SU-35 is set aside for now...focusing on the J-15 so I can get it done and shipped out.
As she sits now...

Spent a little time on the exhaust area on the SU-27.
After dealing with all the masking on the others, I figured it'd be WAY easier to do this area before proceeding.
I am not really liking it right now and will likely be doing something more and/or different...possibly stripping it and starting over.
