Got some more construction done on the Phantom
Since the engines wont be seen I just painted them black then drybrushed them with silver

Same here. I waited on buying one since I really wanted a D. All I found at the local show was three J's.

But the E was the ultimate Phantom, and it finally corrected THE major shortfall of the design, lack of a gun.

I saw some Hasegawa G's at the show but it wasn't what I wanted. I want a C/D or an E.

Carlos is right the E is the ultimate Phantom not sure why I was set on wanting a D so bad lol I plan on building all three C, D and E. After I add all the stencils to this one that might change my mind

I'd like an early USAF Phantom so that I can do a San Antonio or Houston jet.
