Lyle you just gotta beat that thing into submission. My friend built one a while back and spent almost a year on it. In the end it was a stunning model.

JimD - I am glad my sacrifice was not for nothing, or something like that.

Adam - I think i'll win. Right now the starboard underside leading edge looks like a close up of Manuel Noriega's face. I tried Milliput for the first time and did not read the directions, too closely...

So, not having mixed it enough, it would not cure over night and I ended up scrapping it off. I'm now trying to fill enough of the gap with pieces of styrene so that the two halves are stable enough (unlike me) to be filled without moving. If someone that knows what they are doing used over 500 grams of filler, I figure I'm in good company.

I was heavy handed on using the liquid styrene....next time tape the area off and then apply the stuff. Oh, and as a point of information - probably don't want to mix it with a rotary tool...It makes really neato threads as they fly out of the jar. (I read that somewhere, I think)

That kit really does not age well.

it ain't a fine wine, that is for sure. This thing will have more putty than Tammy Faye Bakker getting ready for a TV show!

I think I have some Chivas Regal 12 yr old upstairs! I should be rated PSR 1C when done....with several sanding stick clusters.
