Gotta love it's stance.....looks like it is poised to jump off the ground and fly.
Basically it is the Anglo-French equivalent to the A-7, but far sleeker in looks. Mitsubishi also based their F-1/T-2 aircraft off of the Jaguar design, just as their F-2 is based off of the F-16.

Nah, this is the 1/48th kit- although I'm sure the fit would be the same...

Thanks Kenny, seat harness knocked up from an old wine bottle foil. The decals weren't too bad for the IP and said panels

This is going to be fun to watch....looking good so far. <thumbs up>
Thanks! It's not a too well know type, pretty much over-shadowed by the Tornado and Harrier. It was a great strike aircraft though and still in use by India.

Very true Carlos. It was our foremost Strike aircraft for a short while before the Tornado arrived, although the Tornado lost the short field capability.

It's slowly coming together, I've got all the main seams done - not that bad really, just of it's time. The only filling I've got to do is the intakes and the nose cone (that I've just added. I'm trying out pva type glue for the windscreen - hence the tape.

It's a surprisingly big aircraft.

Cheers!

One of my least-favorite jobs, filling, but good on ya for doing it! She's coming along very well.

Thanks Kenny, it's pretty much there now.

I don't think anybody likes the filling and sanding stage much and I certainly didn't a few years back, but recently I've come to enjoy it more - I actually find it quite therapeutic, especially since I've learnt how to use the grades of sanding sticks/paper better, it's quite rewarding to bring it back to a nice shine.

Thanks TJ! It's not too bad shape-wise tbh honest.

Came across this today whilst researching load outs for the model - quite an interesting article.

https://www.key.aero/article/desert-sto ... -over-gulf

I want to do a wrap around green/grey camo bird, but I might do a post-gulf war aircraft so that I can fit the over wing pylons and the AN/ALQ-101 etc. Should make for a more visually interesting model.

Aha, interesting.

Thanks, Carlos!

Coming along nicely! I really want another one but it's either this or the Kitty Hawk kit. No thanks. :nono:

Yeah, it's a type that's a bit underrepresented in 1/48, although you might have more luck in 1/72 - The Italeri kit should be okay.
