Yup. The tail hook is be installed in Step 3 before closing up the fuselage.

A question regarding inner leading edge slats. Are they red just as the inner surfaces of the dive flaps?

Black and white pic but it looks like it's wing color

Looks like the bottoms are Intermediate Blue



An educated guess says that the upper surface of the slat well would be in Sea Blue to match the adjacent area.

Found another original color photo… yup, upper surfaces are Sea Blue

Interestingly enough, the wheel hubs are designated as Zinc Chromate Green




Canopy pieces. They weren't terrible to mask. Air Deflector installed on main canopy.



Life raft stowage....



Displacement gear for bombs




Tail rudder and cowl installed.



Rear MG all painted up! I chose to use Gunmetal instead of Flat Black as assigned on instruction guide.
Other colors used:
Zinc Chromate Green
Flat Black triggers
Red
Aircraft Grey
